Pay for Results SEO Services Set To Revolutionize Australian SEO Industry

There's a change about to blow through the SEO (or Search Engine Optimization) Industry in Australia. According to Brisbane SEO Consultant, Darren Johnson, that change can't come soon enough for struggling small and medium sized businesses trying to carve out a legitimate space for themselves in the Google landscape.

The SEO industry arose from the ever increasing competition to be found within the results of search engines in general, and Google in particular. In December 2010, a survey by Netcraft Web Server estimated there were 266,848,493 live websites in the world and that this figure increases by over 7 million, every three months. If each website contains a conservative estimate of an average 30 web pages each, that's over 8 billion webpages. When Google displays 10 results on the first page of a search query, we can easily how visibility can be an issue.

Even in the early growth years of the web when names like Netscape, Magellan and Alta Vista ruled the "Information Superhighway" creative individuals serviced the need for people and businesses to show up in the top results of searches. The process of changing a website so that it was more attractive to search engines and would rank higher in the search results was known as optimization, and a new industry was born.

The SEO industry has since boomed along with the growth of the web and the growth of businesses eager to prosper from online endeavors. In Australia, like the rest of the world, there is no specific regulatory body or accreditation for this comparatively young industry.

Consumers and businesses conduct their own research in an area where they are probably not an expert. Typically research involved searching online for SEO service provider, obtaining quotes and proposals and making a choice on the limited resources available. Most SEO services have required clients to enter into contracts of 12 months where the customer pays an upfront charge and then a set monthly fee for the period of the contract.

The problem with this arrangement is of course, if the SEO provider is not performing as expected, the customer is locked into a long term agreement of payments. Not surprisingly as the industry has matured many SEO providers have begun to dispense with long term contracts and offer pay by the month options which are far more palatable to new clients unsure of how their online ventures are going to perform.

Brisbane SEO Services Consultant, Darren Johnson, welcomes this change but says there is more that could be done.

"Back in the say you would look at some quotes, read some testimonials, sign a contract and hope that you had done the right thing. And it was a hope because as I found out through personal experience, there is very little protection to be had if the SEO firm you're dealing with doesn't treat you as you expect."

Mr Johnson says the minimum protection to look for is a firm that guarantees not to take on direct competitor in your niche or industry and be very careful about signing long term contracts. But he also believes there is a more efficient way to protect your SEO investment.

"After I made mistake with an SEO provider I chose. Like any industry, some plumbers are better than others some Doctors are better than others. I was so frustrated after my experience of being an SEO providers customer, I spent 10 years learning the SEO craft. But along the way I also discovered a better way to offer SEO services to clients. It's the Pay for Performance model. And that's what I've brought to the market with www.ResultsFirstSEO.com.au. Our clients rank first and they pay second."

Under the pay for performance agreements, a client pays a deposit to retain expert SEO services and secure exclusivity of that expert so that they cannot work for a competitor. The client and SEO consultant then work together on a plan of goals and objectives that the client wants to achieve. Payments are then made once these goals are attained. In this way, clients pay for what has already been achieved, not what they hope will be achieved.

According to Mr Johnson, "This way of working shows that SEO consultant has confidence in his or her abilities. If they don't meet targets, they don't get paid – they'll also want to achieve the goals quickly. It is also very safe for the customer who only pays for goals that are already achieved. Businesses are going to love this way of working and I truly believe www.ResultsFirstSEO.com.au as a pioneer of this approach in Australia is laying a road others will be scrambling to follows once they realize how well this works. It really takes the financial risk out of the equation for the client. And that's the fairest way to work."

Three Days To A New Life

An Oxford woman who was out of work while caring for her sick mother has found a new job - caring for others.

Charlene Mullee, 26, had been searching for a job for 18 months and felt directionless when she went to A4e for help under the Government's new Work Programme.

She was caring for her mother, and also an elderly couple living opposite her - but never realised her caring nature would lead her to job success.

At her first meeting her advisor quickly spotted her potential and organised a Carer training package - which enthusiastic Charlene aced.

However, with an interview at Care UK lined up Charlene began to panic - about not having a suitable outfit to wear to the interview for the job she so desperately wanted.

Advisor Lee Woodley said: "Charlene came to me and explained that she didn't have any interview clothes to wear, and was panicking. I calmed her down and explained that we could help. Charlene was over the moon - she went out that afternoon and bought herself some trousers and a blouse, brought us back the receipt and was grinning from ear to ear."

In her smart new outfit and inspired by the A4e team, Charlene was offered a job on the spot and will begin her new job on the 23rd September.

She said: "I felt down before coming to A4e, my confidence was low where I hadn't been working.

"I am really happy. I had an interview and a job offer within 3 three days of starting at A4e. I now have a job that means I can gain new qualifications - everyone at A4e was friendly and really helpful."

Employment Minister Chris Grayling said:

"This is a great example of how the Work Programme is starting to have a positive impact on the employment prospects of thousands across the region. The new Work Programme is revolutionary in the way it tailors support to jobseekers' needs. People on out-of-work benefits who have previously been shunted from dole queue to training room to dole queue again will now finally be able to access tailored support."

Producer Edward Bass to Chronicle Life of Serial Killer Belle Gunness

Producer Edward Bass’ Belle Gunness documentary begins principal photography.

"I have begun shooting a documentary on the life of Belle Gunness, as I had just finished penning the screenplay for the feature film," says Bass.

“It has been a while since I did a documentary, I produced Something Less Serious, which was on Its a Mad Mad Mad Mad World in the 90's. It was especially great working with the movie legends Jerry Lewis, Carl Reiner, and Mickey Rooney and late greats like Sid Cesar, Edie Adams, Milton Berle, Arnold Stang, Buddy Hackett, and Norman Fell.

Bass, who was a partner in a Stanley Kramer production, has continued to work on a Mad Mad world sequel with Mrs. Stanley Kramer, since Stanley always maintained sequel and remake rights to his films.

“Interestingly enough, while working with those comedians, who were often depressed, prepared me for the real world of interviewing serial killers and doing the a film about the life of Belle Gunness.”

Belle Gunness, is nothing like the Charlize Theron character in Monster, but like Sharon Stone in Basic Instinct, with a poison pen, rather than an ice pick. Before Craigslist and Facebook, she killed her victims the old fashioned way: using good old fashioned greed and sexual desire. It is believed that she netted almost $1 million dollars from murdering her unsuspecting lovers and disposing their bodies by feeding them to her hungry pigs.

Gunness was the “woman next door”, whose exterior hid a dark secret, a woman with keen entrepreneurial skills highly regarded among the business people in her town. She was a philanthropist who donated money to orphanages and civic projects. At night however she lived a lurid lifestyle of sex, drugs, and alcohol addiction that led to her eventual demise, and she was rumored to have take the lives of hundreds. As people lined up to watch Anthony Hopkins' Hannibal Lecter, Belle has the same appeal and more since she is real..

Alfred Hitchcock’s Shadow of A Doubt classic was a depiction of a small town Santa Rosa, complicit in a serial killer’s crimes. In Belle however, in contrast to the the events in Hitchcock's film, which were fiction, the events in La Porte were real. Here Belle Gunness became the most wealthy woman in Indiana because of her business acumen-- however, as we will see in the film, some of the towns folk’s most prominent citizens were complicit in her crimes. By cleverly absorbing each of her victim’s cash assets, she shrewdly invested their funds into her profitable hog farm, along with bribing or pulling the wool over the town's leading figures.

The town of La Porte has in their county historical society museum, pieces of the Belle Gunness casket that was recently exhumed in an effort to finally determine whether it was Belle who died in a suspicious fire, or someone else. The results were inconclusive and we have joined investigators who are searching for living relatives in Norway. The mystery continues...

Bass is currently set to direct two upcoming films he has penned, including the Belle Gunness story and is executive producer with producing partner Christopher Beatty of Chlorine and Chronicle and James C. Herrmann, with Director Jay Alaimo who Bass launched with Slingshot. His other producing partners have included Sir Anthony Hopkins (Bobby), Kevin Spacey, and Guillermo Del Toro.

Bass has also launched a syndicated column nicknamed, "The Column", is quickly becoming infamous for his satirical “IF I WERE PRESIDENT...” tagline beginning each column. Featured in "Slash Magazine", The Column appears in over 300 publications regularly. His humor is tagged as "a bit over the top", with a Will Rogers sense of irony and controversy.

Bass notes,” As a director I enjoy writing a column and having my own slant, humor and “unedited” views on issues, the auteur in all of us needs a good release!”
